RSM Achieved large and unexpected savings.
As part of a new communication strategy, RSM, a chartered account company, achieved large and unexpected savings on their IBM licenses.

This was realized when RSM provided Symfoni with access to their license history, which then allowed Symfoni to suggest a more comprehensible agreement with IBM.

As an important part of the company’s development, as well as a desire to focus on customer service, RSM plus had a strategic need in the summer of 2011 to have mobile colleagues by moving to mobile telephony.

Traveler was a good solution for expanding the infrastructure at RSM plus to meet this specific need.

However, this meant increased license costs as the company would need to implement a new server. In association with an already established contact, Symfoni was granted permission to investigate the company’s license history and subsequently advise for a more comprehensible and compatible three year license agreement.

This gave a 25 percent saving when compared with their previous license.

Symfoni made it easier to work with IBM. Being able to create an economic benefit at the same time was an added bonus.”, says Jesper Aaskov Pedersen.

This enhanced the entire experience at RSM plus. The change in their IBM licenses did not result in masses of administrative complications, but was executed in a professional manner without any conflicts. As Jesper Aaskov Pedersen notes, ”We only had to sign a contract and pay an account, following which everything worked!” ”Our licenses have become far more comprehensible and easier to manage. As IT Manager it is now easier for me to account for my budget.”
